DR. & MRS. LUKE SMITH

What a gorgeous day we had to celebrate the lovely Dr. & Mrs. Luke Smith!! That’s right, this groom just recently finished med school just WEEKS before their wedding. He will be a neurosurgeon, which is honestly beyond anything I can fathom. What an accomplishment & a HUGE congrats to you on all your hard work. They have had such major milestones taking place in their lives over the past weeks. I can only imagine how relaxing Mexico is right now! You deserve to get away, enjoy the sun, no tests and no wedding to plan.

Luke + Katie have been together for five years, but have been waiting on the perfect time for them to finally say “I do!”. With Luke in med school, their lives have been so busy & he fully gives Katie all the credit for planning their wedding. He gave a small speech during the reception after the formal toasts were over, crediting and thanking hit beautiful bride for all the effort she has put towards planning their long awaited wedding day. I loved that they took time to say a handful of very specific ‘thank-yous’ during their reception. So special and thoughtful.

I’m not sure I have ever met or worked with a more calm bride than Katie! I walked into the Hotel lobby and she was at the cafe ordering. Right away, she pulled my assistant & I in to get some Starbucks, on her tab. To tell you just how thoughtful she is, I follow her up to the hotel room to gather all her details & she informs me there is a gift for me in the box as well! WHAT? FOR ME? I should be gifting something to you on your wedding day!! Katie, you truly are one of the most thoughtful brides.

Luke + Katie had a choreographed first dance & I LOvED every second of it. It seriously was so great, you two. After their formal dances, they called all the kids out to the dance floor to dance to the one and only song, Let It Go ! They were in heaven! Katie’s love for these kiddos was so evident. She told me earlier in the day, there are going to be so many kids at the wedding & she wants to be sure to get pictures of them. They adore her & in return, Luke + Katie danced the night away with them. They had a great crowd on the dance floor too, you’ll see !!!!

Again, I must say a huge thank-you to Andrew for assisting me for the day!!! He got some great shots!
