CLAY + KATE | MAPLESIDE FARMS WEDDING

I met Clay + Kate earlier this spring for their engagement session when they were in Ohio from Texas. We had some very cold temperatures during their engagement session, but the weather we dealt with on their wedding day may have been a little worse. Despite the weather, I cannot believe how well they embraced the entire day – crazy winds, spitting rain, cold temperatures… ALL of it & not just Clay + Kate, but their wedding party was amazing about it all, too. We had a gorgeous overlook at Mapleside Farms, but that meant we would be standing in . the high winds and rain. The bridesmaids said, “If Kate wants it, we will do anything for her.” Those are some good bridesmaids 😉 All day they just kept saying how pretty their friend, the bride, looked & many of them were moved to tears when they saw her. It was so beautiful how genuinely happy they were for her. We started the day off at the hotel, where the girls got ready. From there, we moved to the venue, where everything was in one location – which is AMAZING! They planned on having an outdoor ceremony, but due to the weather, they moved it down to the cellar of the venue. Thankfully, the cellar provided a beautiful backdrop for even some safe group photos after the ceremony where hair was not flying everywhere.

This wedding was full of emotion – Everyone was SO HAPPY ! They were all joyful & many were moved to tears throughout the entire day. There were so many special moments that happened & my favorite part of the wedding day is to look back at those captured moments. I hope their wedding gallery helps them preserve all the feelings and emotions they felt on their wedding day. The weather is not what makes a wedding day beautiful – it’s the little moments in between that I have the joy of capturing. Not only was there a lot of emotion, there was a lot of dancing. I love a good dance floor, and their friends & family SHOWED UP to dance.

Kate, you had me laughing ALL day. I had no idea you were so funny. You are a dream bride to work with. You trust me & did not allow the details you could not control change your spirits. Clay adores you & he is so sweet. I love capturing you two together. Your wedding was beautiful & we had so much fun with y’all. Blessings over your marriage.
