My college roommate & I took the train from Milan to the Geneva Airport… It was a little over 4 hours, and my cousin, Jim, met us at the airport. Currently, my cousin lives in the heart of Geneva where he works for JP Morgan. I am so excited for him & this season of his life. Who gets to live in a foreign country at our age, while doing some you LOVE? He does!!! He loves his job & is gaining a priceless experience.
Not only is he living the dream over there, he has opened up his place to my friends and I to taste a little bit of his life. Literally, whatever he & his girlfriend, Anita, told us to do, we did. If they told us to try this coffee shop, we did… or go try a Macaroon here, we did! We should go see the old part of town? Okay!
Switzerland is a little bit more expensive than traveling to Italy so it was awesome having personal tour guides tell us what to do & where to spend our money appropriately. We arrived on a Tuesday evening & laid low the first night. Wednesday morning Bethany & I had to go pick up our friend at the airport. This day was full of touring the old town of Geneva, going to the Patek Philippe Watch Museum, walking through the gardens, and taking a boat ride. Thursday we took a day trip into Chamonix, France. On Friday, we went to Lausanne, Switzerland. Here we visited the EPIC Olympic Museum. It so neat & we spent HOURS in there. It’s where the official committee meets. How cool is that? Our last full day in Switzerland was spent with my cousin Jim & his girlfriend Anita. They took us to some of their favorite places. I could go on and on about how wonderful they were to us & how AMAZING Switzerland was, but I’m going to let the pictures speak for themselves, once again.
