Brett + Jodi celebrated their marriage during an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception at Country Gatherings. The outdoor ceremony was so pretty and picture perfect. I love outdoor ceremonies. The natural light during those ceremonies make the world of a difference in pictures & I’m obsessed with it. Although, we could have probably done without the heat that day. For a September wedding, I do not think we expected it to be as hot as it was with 94% humidity. Despite the heat, we all survived and it was beautiful.
Because they did a first look, which I LOVE, we did not have too many photos to do following the ceremony. We were able to get into the reception fairly quick and cool off. One thing I loved during their reception was their dessert. Instead of cutting a cake or serving it, they have apple crisp and ice cream. Talk about speaking my language!!! It was perfect for a September wedding. Dancing continued all through the evening & ended with a beautiful evening glow. One of my favorite parts at the reception was during the father/daughter dance, Jodi’s grandpa (her father’s father) came and cut in. Jodi’s dad came and stood by me & said, “He is the only one I would ever let do that & I’m glad he did.” How precious!!!
These two are so cute together. Jodi has such a contagious smile & never stops smiling !!! I also love their color schemed they had. Each bridesmaid perfectly complimented the color of dress they were in. Be sure to notice the coordinating bow ties with the girls’ dresses. Love it!!!
