Can you believe the Christmas season is upon us?! I sure can’t!!! Not only is it hard to believe, but this weather in Ohio is crazy. I photographed a wedding this past weekend at 65 degrees – IN DECEMBER!!! I’m definitely not complaining though.
Just one week before that 65 degree wedding, I help my Christmas mini sessions. It was the foggiest day I have EVER seen. It was beyond odd because it never lifted. Literally, ALL day, the fog was as thick in the evening as it is in the early mornings. I was kinda nervous for my clients to be driving in it, but they all braved it. All the trees were also frosted over. They were GORGEOUS. Towards the last two sessions they began to melt and get all my props wet.
I have to give a huge SHOUT-OUT to my mom for all her help. We loaded everything, set-up, and tore down it all by ourselves. You may look at these sets and think, how hard can it be? I’m just saying, it’s A LOT of work!!!!! Another major shout out goes to Emily McElroy!!! She provided me so many props & so willingly lets me come into her house and pick up whatever I want. It’s kinda like shopping… although, I have to return it, but it’s still SO FUN!!
I’m sharing with you several of the sets. Sadly, I did not take a nice shot on my camera of the Deer set. You can view it on my instagram account though —- SO GO FOLLOW @katieleephoto !!!!! My nephew Brayden came out during a 45 minute break I had so we snapped some of him. I’m only sharing his because many of my clients are using their photos on their Christmas cards or as Christmas gifts so I’m trying not to spoil all the fun for them!!! It’s like the bittersweet sessions because I’m so excited, yet I can’t ever share them…Maybe those will come after the holidays!!
