I’M A WANNA BE SOUTHERN BELLE

This post is basically a recap of my latest road trip that I so enjoyed. I’m definitely a fan of South Carolina, especially where some dear friends reside these days. Many of us from Ohio recently traveled down to S.C. for Brett + Kate’s wedding. Both grew up in our small town of two stop lights and are now happily married living in the south. Making the trip for the wedding was my third time down there & I’m pretty sure I can handle the heat if the good Lord wants to take me there – yellow floppy hat & all (:

I road tripped with some friends & a past Katie Lee wedding couple, Blake + Emily. We arrived in Summerville, SC around 2 p.m. on Wednesday & lucky for us, they were having their sweet tea festival. Did you know Summerville, SC is the birth home of Sweet Tea? Now you do! They broke the record that day with the largest glass of sweet tea ever & now I feel like I played a pretty significant role in that. I have my souvenir cup to prove it.

I knew I would have a pretty tight schedule with wedding festivities and visiting other family friends, the Trephans, who live in the same area. It’s always nice to kill two birds with one stone. I did get to see them for a short time Wednesday evening. Little miss Lilly, Austin & I took a nice evening walk. My heart was so full listening to Austin share his testimony – SO GOOD! Thursday morning I got up & took Tanner Trephan’s senior picture. Of course, I loved venturing around & having some new scenery to photography. You can view his senior pictures here

Thursady afternoon/evening was dedicated to celebrate Kate!! We went to a painting class, a private yoga lesson, created our own photo booth, and then went out to dinner! It was such an enjoyable & relaxing day. You can see all of our lovely photos of the day below…

The rest of the weekend was pretty much dedicated to rehersal, eating meals together, and the lovely wedding. It was all great! I loved seeing so many faces from back home, but together celebrating two people we all adore. The wedding was an early one – 10:30 a.m. which was perfect with the heat index we were about to endure. After the wedding we headed to the beach to hang out with friends & the Trephans joined, which was the perfect end to my South Carolina trip. It was a short & sweet visit, but a fulfilling one. Here is our time in the world of photography…
