WOW! What a year\u00a02017 was. This blog post is definitely my online scrapbook & more for myself to look back on. It’s so fun for me to be reminded of the trips I have taken, the new places I discovered, the people I met, the people I visited, the new things I tried, the babies born, and simple moments from day to day life. Looking back allows us to take time to reflect, perhaps make changes where needed or give thanks for those moments we are proud of. For me, the act of remembering is such a spiritual discipline. I think of how often the Lord calls us ‘To Remember’ time and time again in scripture. We are called to remember the Lord’s faithfulness & His goodness so that we can stay focused on what the Lord is doing in our lives. To remember causes me to give thanks, whether I’m remembering difficult times or joyous times, the end result is always thankfulness. Maybe it’s thankfulness for getting me through the hard times or thankfulness for the overwhelming amount of blessings he has lavished over me. One of the most exciting things for this year is I joined a church plant team to help further the gospel. If you are in the Dublin\/Powell area, feel free to check out Living Hope !!<\/p>\n

To give a little recap of this year’s travels, I had the privilege to travel to North Carolina, South Carolina, Hawaii, Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas (and Missouri technically), and THE BAHAMAS!! I went on my first cruise this year & road tripped to Texas instead of Driving – yeah, that was crazy, but at least we got to stop in TN to see a dear friend along the way. For my 28th birthday this year, my brother took me to Magnolia since we were in Texas on the big day! I WAS PUMPED! I traveled to Indiana a total of 5 times I believe & TN twice. This was the first year in about 17 or 18 years I have not been to PA within the calendar year. My mom & I are getting ready to leave right after the new year to go visit, but we totally skipped 2017 & that definitely makes me sad. Thankfully, I still got to see so many of my favorite people in other states that I usually get to see in PA. Some of those families even invited me on their family vacations – I’m so thankful for them.<\/p>\n

This year also consisted of 11 of my own weddings & 2\u00a0weddings I was a second shooter for. I traveled out of state for 3 weddings, which is my favorite thing. I even got to photograph a proposal this year\u00a0for a good friend. Now, those are exciting & FUN!\u00a0 Another exciting adventure I got to experience through my job, is to go on a deer farm to photograph an engagement. It was one of the coolest things EVER. I couldn’t believe they just came right up to you. I want one. I want a deer, but can it stay little forever?! Humbly, I accepted the award for Union County’s Favorite Photographer award. I can’t believe all these people even vote for me, but I’m so thankful. My clients have been noting but wonderful to me & I don’t deserve them. THANK YOU!!!<\/p>\n
