AN ADMIRABLE COUPLE
I honestly can’t think of a better couple to be the first session featured on my blog than Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Bob) Evans! This coming August, they will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary!! How amazing is that? As a wedding photographer, I obviously love capturing the emotion between couples, but having the opportunity to witness such a committed relationship as these two have is another thing. It is humbling, encouraging, and simply beautiful.
I have literally grown up across the field from Bob + Helen & have become good friends with their kids and grandkids. Without a doubt, they are huge Ohio State Buckeye fans who rarely miss watching a game. Helen is a WONDERFUL cook & Bob is ALWAYS sure to make you smile. They are so kind and very supportive of everyone within the entire community.
To be honest, for quite some time, I have wanted to do a mini session of these two, but they just smiled at me if I mentioned it. Well, just a couple weeks ago, I traveled to The Villages, Florida with their lovely granddaughter, Heidi, and there was no way I was leaving without sneaking in some pictures of these two. Spending almost a week with them was such a blessing. Individually, they are committed to the Lord and together they have created a legacy. My heart has been overwhelmed with joy during my stay as they continue to serve one another.
Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, but importantly, thank you for the example of commitment, sacrifice, love, selflessness, and a heart for the Lord. As a young adult, journeying through a broken world, your lives are a breath of fresh air!! May we all learn to love well.
