JIM + ANITA | BROOKLYN, NEW YORK SKY LOUNGE WEDDING

PINIMAGE

A stunning bride from Hungary falls in love with her American groom in Ohio & becomes his Mrs. above the city of New York. They have experienced so much culture & amazing adventures together, but their greatest adventure is ahead of them. Anita’s family flew in from Hungary to celebrate as well as many friends and family from all over the U.S. ! Jim you looked quite handsome & Anita, you were a show stopper. A classy & stunning couple.

I’m truly obsessing over Jim + Anita’s New York Wedding. I’ve never been to NYC & I truly did not know what to expect when it came to the wedding. I usually know where I will take wedding photos & scout things out, but I’m so thankful Jim + Anita took care of those details, and I just had to trust them. They did NOT disappoint. We went to Dumbo Park for the majority of our portrait session, but made a quick stop at his friend’s apartment to get access to the Empire State Building backdrop. Their very elegant wedding was held in the Sky Lounge of 66Rockwell, overlooking New York. As if the views were not beautiful enough, their wedding details were just as striking. Anita wore a beautiful Pronovias wedding dress that she bought in Paris paired with her gorgeous Vince Camuto heels. The guys wore classy Louis Vuitton ties & the bride and groom completed their wedding attire with Tiffany & Co. wedding bands. Doesn’t it all just sound so dreamy?

Not only were they intentional with their attire details, but they were very mindful of bridging the gap between cultures. There were three servers for the evening, one being a lovely lady who spoke Hungarian. They also had a gentleman there who translated the father of the bride speech into English. It was so special to have them there to honor both the Hungarian & American culture. Jim + Anita decided to write their own vows, which were beautiful & heartfelt. After they walked down the aisle as husband & wife, they thanked everyone for celebrating with them & traveling from all over. All of the speeches and toasts were well spoken and even a little emotional. Jim’s father brought a bottle of Champagne from 1976 that he had at his wedding. He has been saving it for his first born’s wedding day & they shared in a special toast. The only thing left to do was get everyone on the dance floor & that’s exactly what happened all night.

Thank you Jim + Anita for entrusting me to capture your wedding day. May these photos serve as a reminder of your love for one another & the love and support you have from so many family and friends. What a joy it was to celebrate every moment with you throughout the wedding day. I do not take for granted that I have the opportunity to be alongside couples more than anyone during their wedding day. It’s so special to me & I’m thankful I could share my love of photography with you two. Here’s to a lifetime of many blessings over your marriage. I love you guys & can’t wait to see you again!!!

Also, a big thank you to Emily for assisting for the day of the wedding & keeping track of all my bags. You’re the best!
