I have seriously lacked and dropped the ball on keeping up with blogging this fall season. After a crazy month of October, my trip to Arizona is exactly what I needed. While I definitely rested, there was also business in the mix. Many have asked, what had taken me out to Arizona?! Well, my college friend Hannah has found herself living in Flagstaff, AZ. By the way, did ya’ll know Flagstaff is 7,000 above elevation with snow covered mountains?!?!?! I had NO idea. I expected to be surrounded by cactus with rays of sunshine beating down on my face. She warned me a few days ahead that it had snowed on the mountain so that meant it would be colder where they live. I literally saw snow in AZ before Ohio, what’s up with that?!?! In the first two images below you will see what I woke up to everyday… although it was cold, you can’t deny it’s breathtaking view!! Gorgeous!
I arrived in Arizona on a Wednesday & spent the majority of the day in Phoenix. Hannah and I went out to eat and of course, hit the mall. Thursday we headed to Sedona where you can find all the red rocks. We first stopped along the road to get some fresh MOUNTAIN water. Then, we stopped for lunch at this place called the Gardens. We ate outside & you can see in the images below they place their blankets outside for people to cover up with. LOVED this place. I may have bought 3 of those blankets. Ooops!
This day was full of photo shoots. What else would you expect when you get two photographers together in such photogenic scenery?! Well, the photo shoots started out with US!!! We explored Tlaquepaque Sedona first & had some fun posing. I did some new head shots for Hannah & she took plenty of pictures of me. It was gorgeous lighting, not too hot, not too cold. I loved working with the light and all the different colors here in Arizona. You will see more fun working with the light in Part 2 with our models. You do NOT want to miss that session. It is literally my favorite!!!!
I’m hoping to bring you a promotional video in the future & we began filming it HERE!!!! But first, meet my friend Hannah & enjoy some of our portraits before we get to the EPIC sessions in the blog posts to come!!
