Josh + Martha may be new faces on the fan page and blog, but I have known Martha since college. I had the privilege of meeting Josh this past December at a mutual friend’s wedding & I could tell from the dance floor at our friend’s wedding that their wedding would be nothing short of AWESOME!!!
I arrived at Martha’s home to photograph her gorgeous details. Her mother was pulling food out of the oven for all the girls to eat & all I could think of to myself was, “What a super mom! What mother of the bride has time to make a home cooked meal?” Everyone was so calm and simply enjoying the moments of the day. We finished up at their beautiful home & ventured to the church on Wheaton’s campus. It is a gorgeous church. I walked into the sanctuary an hour or so before the ceremony to find the familiar face from college. It was so neat hearing Robbie lead worship during the ceremony.
From the ceremony, we traveled to the Ruth Lake Country Club in Hinsdale, IL! It was GORGEOUS!!! They allowed us to take portraits behind their venue near the water. It was so neat because their wedding colors were mainly green with accents of purple and that is exactly what our background was for Josh + Martha’s portraits. We had gorgeous purple flowers with a lovely green backdrop, how neat?!
The reception was nothing short of an AWESOME time. Everybody hit the dance floor the entire night. There is nothing better than a good group of dancers at the wedding reception. The glow lights came out and everyone was loving them. Josh + Martha, it was a beautiful day filled with love + laughter & a whole lot of dancing. It was wonderful capturing your BIG day!!!
